Property entrance with manicured boxwood hedges, Italian cypress and Palisades Zoysia grass. All boxwoods on the property are pruned by hand using a string line and bubble level to achieve a consistent, flawless shape.
The front of the home and motor court is framed with boxwood shrubs while six container-grown citrus trees sit on the front patio. Two Canary Date Palms stand on each corner and add to the list of specialty plants on this property that require unique care.
Aerial of the front landscape shows healthy Palisades Zoysia grass and careful edge detailing of the hedges. Also shown is the dry creek bed where plant access and watering is an added maintenance task.
A view of the dry creek bed where an assortment of shrubs, agave and native grasses give this unique landscape feature a natural, organic appearance. This area requires hand weeding and regular “archery clean up” since the homeowner’s son practices shooting his bow and arrow at the dry creek bed agaves.
View from the bridge shows another angle of the landscaped dry creek bed as well as boxwood detailing and a privacy wall of Japanese Yews following the fence line.
Aerial view captures the various landscaped areas in the backyard. We installed Zoro Zoysia for the lawn around the putting greens.
Ten specialty herb garden beds sit between two rows of Bay Leaf Trees. For pest management purposes, Marigolds are planted to show first signs of spider mites.
Aerial of the pool area shows inlaid Diamond Zoysia within the flagstone patio which we maintain using a hedge trimmer.
A specialized insect prevention plan is used for all citrus and boxwoods surrounding the pool area.
View from the pool shows the golf area surrounded by a Cedar “curtain” which must be trimmed regularly to allow sunlight to reach the edges of the putting greens.
An aerial of the herb garden and shows the Zoro Zoysia lawn surrounding the tee boxes.
Four Italian Cypress anchor the pool while two Cherokee Climbing Roses crawl the wall of the outdoor pavilion.
Ground view of the herb garden looking toward the home shows a manicured row of boxwood hedging.
